after lawmakers rejected prime minister theresa may's brexit deal for the third time. that likely killed off her plans permly and increase -- pe permanently. let's go live to london, bring in ri nic robertson. anyone's guess again? >> reporter: what we do know is that theresa may is running out of time. we have said she's been running out of road on this for months and months. this does seem to be the week, i'll say that. let's see what happens by the end of the week. the reality is this, that today there will be some indicative votes in parliament. again, the mps taking control and essentially saying to theresa may, this is what we can agree on, you should use this idea, being part of the customs union or a second referendum or a norway type relationship with the european union. however, there may not be a

majority for any of those. half of theresa may's party is opposed to her picking up on any of those ideas. 117 mps, including ten government ministers have written to theresa may saying that they want her to back a no deal brexit. another part of her cabinet has said if you do go that route, then we will quit. she's faced with these divisions, which have weighty turns, and then there's the possibility of calling a general election, and one of the previous prime ministers, conservative prime minister john major over the weekend said this is the time for a government of national unity. that's where things have gone to, the road really ending on decision making for theresa may it seems this week. >> another day, another debacle. sni nic robertson live in london. virginia's lieutenant governor justin fairfax denying allegations of sexual assault.

race between uber and lyft. on friday, lyft beat its rival to become the first ride hailing company to go public. lyft ended the first trading day at $78.29. that's up 8.7%. its founders announced plans to invest $50 million or 1% of its profits, whichever is greater, each year to support transportation initiative in cities, starting with los angeles. a long list of billion dollar tech start-ups, the unicorn parade expected to go public, including pinterest, slack, poepost mates and uber. dumbo didn't fly quite as high over the weekend. disney's remake of the animated classic brought in 45 million. experts thought this film would make 50 million. in second place, jordan peele's "us," made 174 million globally.
